This is where the largest impact of the changes will be, dropping off and picking up your young person. We understand that this may be more strict that at school for example, but this is our process currently.
Parking and Cars
As part of the risk assessment, we are stopping all vehicles using the driveway to access Scout HQ 15 minutes before or after any Beaver, Cub or Scout Sessions, including Scouting Activities at other times. Please note this does not apply to residents who live along the driveway, so please be mindful of the drive.
Please do not block any local resident driveways if you decide to drive to Scout HQ.
We advise that all visitors use the railway car park and walk to Scout HQ.
Drop Off
Social distancing must be maintained at all times, in line with government requirements.
Only attend if you have booked on via OnlineScoutManager, as without this being completed, your young person will not be able to attend the session.

Process at the gate at the entrance to the driveway to Scout HQ
- Only one adultand young person(s) to approach the first gate.
- Parents are to wear face-covering when approaching Leaders at the gate.
- Young person to have all they need for the session.
- Please wait in turnuntil the Leaders at the gate have finished with a young person in front.
- We will confirm registration on OnlineScoutManager.
- Temperature checkof the young person.
- Scoutsor those attending Scout section meetings will need to show their face covering.
- The young person will then be directed to either wait on a spacing spot beyond the gate or walk up to Scout HQ’s entrance.

If you arrive late, there will be a note on the gate with a number to call, and we will come to you. Please do not come up the drive; please wait for us.
