- have common sense, patience and understanding
- be creative and be open to learning new skills
- be a minimum of 18 years of age
- undertake a DBS disclosure prior to the commencement of this appointment.
The leader’s duties would normally be:
- supporting other adults to run the weekly programme
- gathering material to use at the meetings
- helping to plan the programme (with the Beaver Scout Leader) for the weekly meetings
- running games and handicrafts, and other activities at the weekly meetings
- attending occasional day visits to places of interest and indoor sleepovers

Practical Considerations
The role requires a practical person who can lead activities; you may have experience working with young people or be looking to gain experience. Scouting offers a great way to build your skills and experience while supporting your local community.
